For instance, the conspiracy requires a mushroom-like explosion that appears in the episodes, to be considered proof. It is true that the explosion does appear in both the pictures of the nuclear testings at Bikini Atoll, and as a comic relief in Spongebob Squarepants; however, this is an enthymeme. The premise in this particular enthymeme is this: the mushroom-like explosion appears in Spongebob episodes, therefore it explains the Spongebob Nuclear Conspiracy. Without the explanation of Bikini Atoll, this enthymeme cannot be used as proof of the conspiracy. Another flaw with this conspiracy is it contains the composition/division fallacy. This fallacy assumes that one part must be applied to all parts (yourlogicalfallacyis.com). In this conspiracy, the nuclear explosion that occurred in project Castle Bravo is what created all the creatures in Bikini Bottom. However, this applies to every Spongebob character (even the humans Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy who are geriatric superheroes)- except Sandy Cheeks. Sandy Cheeks is a scientific squirrel that does karate from Texas and resides in a tree dome in bikini Bottom. Cheeks’s purpose for coming to Bikini Bottom is to observe the aquatic life there, as explained in the season four episode, Chips Ahoy. Her tree dome, suit, and helmet not only allow her to breathe in air under water, but they protect her from the water’s radiation. Other mammals that have appeared in Spongebob, such as Mermaid Man, Barnacle Boy, Kenny the Cat, and Fuzzy Acorns are exposed to radiation in the water because they have no other protection. So since Sandy does have protection from the radiation in the water, then how was she created ? After all, the conspiracy says that all Bikini bottom characters were created by the nuclear radiation given off in the testing, but Sandy was not exposed to that
