Not all epitaphs are about those who absolutely loved their life and would change nothing. Some of the people in this section are quite in between, having loved and hated their one life, and unsure if they would go back and change it, if they had the chance. Nellie Clark? She most likely wishes for nothing more than to go back and change things. Francis Turner? He seems completely content with his lot in life, despite his ailment. State’s Attorney Fallas? He is saddened by the fact that his son was ruined and most likely that he himself spent his life caring for him. But he is grateful to his son for opening up the world of science for those who are sick of mind. We all know that life can be gracious and kind, but it can also be cruel and unmerciful. It is up to us to try to make the best out of a bad
