“I don’t think I’ve cured anyone whatsoever.” That is what Bernadette told someone when they asked if she has cured anyone due to miracles. She lived out her entire life crediting her work as God's work. She never bragged or gloated about being so very special. In fact, when her popularity was at an all time high, she left the spotlight and went into a much simpler, quieter lifestyle when she started working in a hospice school run by the Sisters of Charity of Nevers. She later became a nun which was an even simpler, quieter lifestyle. Saint Bernadette's answer when asked about whether she had performed a miracle, proves how important humility, and virtues as a whole were to her. She was chosen by God and greeted by Mary numerous times being informed to build a chapel and seek to fulfill a holy life. She kept her faith even when she was accused of lying. The way I show holiness is praying daily and going to mass multiple times a week. As Well as her holiness, Bernadette also exemplified an incredible importance for humility. During her life she never seeked fame or recognition, even though she was chosen to be Gods messenger. In my life I try not to brag, I also try to put other people's problems and other issues before my own. She also showed extremely strong perseverance throughout her life. She persevered through years of accusations, slander, and interrogation. During her struggle, she accepted what God had planned for her and moved past it without questioning God's plan.
