Volunteering at a hospital allows me to broaden my horizons, working with others who have more knowledge or different backgrounds could lead me to a lifelong of friends that I might not have known had I not volunteered. I also hope to explore medical careers since I desire to have a career in the health- related field. Patients never sign up to be in a hospital and deserve the most respect and attention so that they would feel cared for in their situation. Patients who feel this sort of “exceptional care” would be more likely to comply with instructions by letting them realize that the hospital is a place that they can feel at ease with. Patients should not feel like their caretakers are constantly monitoring their every actions but by letting patients know that the caretakers treat them with genuine politeness will make patients become willing to follow instructions naturally without “forcing”
