Saint Michael the Arch Angel is the greatest angel out of all the angels. The Iliad, written by Homer, is a book series focusing on the war between the Greeks and Trojans, Achilles and Hector being the two main hero’s in the books, Priam, Hector’s father and Patroclus, Achilles’ deceased best friend, are hero’s as well. Achilles, on the Greek side eventually kills Hector, on the Trojan side, Achilles is the greatest war hero in the entire story, also possessing a lot of honor, he obeys authority (for the most part) and leads his army in wars. Saint Michael the Arch Angel is a great leader of people and often acts for the better good. Saint Michael takes on many leadership roles, for example when he leads the army of angels in heaven to fight against Satan in the bible Revelation 12:7-9 ”7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” Saint Michael still battles Satan, God has entrusted him to guard the gates to paradise, God knows Saint Michael will act for the better good to entrust him with this kind of responsibility. God also entrusts Saint Michael to escort the faithful to heaven at their hour of death (from catholic online 4 responsibility’s Saint Michael has), Saint Michael has great leadership skills that every hero should have. Saint Michael the Arch Angel has great honor and a good sense of judgment. Saint Michael obeys and has great honor for the Lord, in this example when he confronts Satan in the bible Jude 9 “9But even the archangel Michael, when he disputed with the devil over the body of Moses, did not presume to bring a slanderous judgment against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” As we see in this example Saint Michael is confronting Satan about the body of Moses, because it is Gods will that he does accordingly and God trusts Saint Michael’s good judgment to meet expectations, a surprising amount of respect regarding Satan is shown from Saint Michael when he held back his judgment against him, this further proves my point of how
