The financial inequalities of our society have been apparent for years. America is still feeling the effects of the Great Depression some 90 years after it began. Bruce Springsteen in “The Ghost of Tom Joad” sings of the harsh realities our grandparents’ parents faced during years of high unemployment and low morale.
