Stressing goals often leads to stressed-out people, we believe that schools must set rigolos expectations for all students. Educators can create learning environment in which students feel they belong, have opportunities to grow, can succeed as a result of focused effort and see value and purpose in their work. For example, a long-term analysis of subjects from Robert Mischel’s famous marshmallow study showed that children with strong self-regulation, is a better predictor of school success than intelligence in tests. However, traditional grading policies are entirely inconsistent with a grown mindset because they often reward students for what they already know and can do rather; than encouraging further effort and recognition of one’s progress (Dockterman). Students feel that doing well on standardized tests and rewarding them on skills that students already learned is a waste of time. Students’ belief in their ability be successful improves when schools that allow them to experience success. A general acceptance on the part of educators and the community that tests can not accurately measure academic achievement (Lam).The popularity of students achievement have lowered due to state testing. Once test scores have become numbers in file, they provide basis for high-stakes decisions concerning, selection placement , and promotion. They are made without consideration of inequalities imposed by the original testing situation (Lam).
