Yes, I do believe that the exclusive lease that Starbucks holds with landlords does violate antitrust laws because there is a great amount of unfair competition that is being held between Starbucks and other coffee shops. Starbucks has lessened the competition of other coffee shops in order to make theirs seem better. As stated in the text, each state and the federal government holds statues and regulations that forbid any unfair methods of competition. The statues that prohibit this act are the Sherman Act, the Clayton Act, the Robinson-Patman Act, and The Federal Trade Commission Act.
