Status Epilipticus (SE)- A case study that I conducted to improve the outcome of the patients who have a continuous seizure lasting more than 30 minutes. I was very interested in the topic because I experienced having a client who had SE in a home health setting. My study showed the importance of initiating the treatment as soon as the patient is observed having seizures, preferably in the prehospital phase itself in order to prevent resistance to medications. Moreover, the study gave me a solid rationale as to why my patient survived and recovered from the medical emergency by responding in a timely fashion.
