Once others realize that the death penalty is strict and without exception, they are less likely to commit the crime. It is unfair to punish the animal, being just a mere dog, for being born a pitbull and being brought into a city where ownership of said dog is unlawful. The owners ought to be punished for placing their animal at risk. By exacting out the death penalty, it will show people that ignoring the law is not worth the consequence of getting caught. While people may be willing to pay a fine if caught, how many would be willing to die? So, proposed in today’s essay is not the euthanization of the dog--it is not the dog’s fault that it was born to such a badly viewed breed, or that it was brought into such a town where such a law is imposed--but to euthanize the owner, for blatantly ignoring such a law and to discourage others from breaking the same
