I was forced into stereotypes because of looks, but once people actually got to know me they realized that there was a lot more than meets the eye. They initially perceived me as the shy girl who didn’t talk and did what she was told. However, I was a very creative, intelligent and intuitive girl who was just hiding behind a stereotype. Once I realized my full potential I became something other than what I was being stereotyped as. I became a confident, intelligent and creative girl who knew she was capable of anything once she put her mind to it, and once people realized that they had stereotyped me they began to treat me properly. For example, my best friend Yrsa stereotyped me as the shy and quiet girl that didn’t talk to anyone because I had just transferred to the school. Therefore, she talked to me and from then on we got crazier and crazier until when we are out in public together people think we are insane. I also met people through stereotyping who just talked to me because of how they stereotyped me. For instance, there was a guy named Mike who thought I was someone who would help anyone with anything even if it affected me, he was wrong, I will do anything to help people in any way I can but once it becomes personal like, doing homework for someone or doing an entire project that was meant for 4 people by myself, I will not do it. I will help them get the help they need to be successful but I will not do it for them and let them use
