Imagine, seeing the light seek through the window seal. Feeling the warmth of it, hitting your skin. Turning to your left to see the the very same light that has warmed your skin, now illuminating your partners face, mn caressing every inch. Not trying to wake them up you quietly without disturbing the bed get out and begin to get ready, The navy uniform hung across your closet was once a respected and desired uniform is now seen as a racist, disgrace. This year alone there has been 903 people killed by police officers all around the United States, and though that's an alarming number. Out of that 904 , 418 of those men and women were white and only 205 were black. So why does the media stereotype Police officers as being racist,

For every man and woman on the force training doesn't end at the graduation of the academy. Prior to taking on assignments, police officers go through training at a police academy. The training program generally lasts around 12 to 14 weeks and includes classroom instruction in state laws, local ordinances, constitutional law, civil rights, and accident investigation. Police officers also learn about traffic control, self-defense, first-aid, firearms, and emergency response. Each state and each jurisdiction has different training requirements. In some areas, you can go through basic law enforcement training at the local community college or other state-sponsored institution first and then apply to the agency of your choice. Other jurisdictions may require you to complete their in-house training program after successful completion of their hiring process or sponsor you to attend an academy
