Sometimes, people get caught in bad situations. In the book the monster, many characters get caught in bad situations. The main character, Steve Harmon, Gets caught between a robbery and a murder. Steve was the lookout in the robbery, but he was not responsible for Mr. Nesbits death.
First off, steve was the lookout because he admitted to being in the store on the day of the robbery. In a journal entry, Steve said, “ I walked into a drug store to look for some mints, and then walked out.” (140) Regardless if Steve had planned to be the lookout, he was still in the store right before the robbery occurred.
