I chose this chapter primarily because I wanted to learn more about the creation story shared among Indigenous people. The Aboriginal’s story is about how we are suppose appreciate Mother Earth: her plants, her animals, and her land. While other religions tend to revolve their legend around the idea of one almighty creator who governs all, Aboriginal culture’s, including their creation stories, tend to be explained through a more holistic point of view. Throughout this chapter, the author was trying to convey that we, as the human population, should appreciate our surroundings more often. “Stop and smell the roses” is a major theme throughout the chapter, which is coincidental, as that saying could be taken not only metaphorically, but also
