Introduction
A strategic staffing plan plays a major role in the selection of the right candidate for any position. BGR Staffing is seeking to hire a Director of Operations who will answer directly to the
CEO. His/her position will play a vital role in the daily operations at BGR Staffing. The selection of this individual must be taken very seriously since he/she will be responsible for very important decisions involving the company. In this paper I will discuss the seven steps of a strategic staffing plan utilized to fill the position of the Director of Operations for the BGR
Staffing Agency. This paper will also demonstrate the importance of a strategic staffing plan by demonstrating the importance of utilizing many different components. These components consist of sourcing the right talent to fill the position. BGR Staffing will use internal recruiting and external recruiting to obtain enough qualified candidates to fill the position. As read on you will find the resources used to obtain the candidate and a detailed description of the duties that will be performed by the director of Operations. The main idea behind workforce planning is to forecast the talent needed and compare it to the talent that you already have. It will not only forecast to meet BGR Staffing short term goal of recruiting the director of operations but be a beneficial factor in future recruitment for future business expansion. Workforce planning will play an essential factor for BGR staffing because it can make sure the talent needed for the position is acquired. Company Summary
BGR Staffing is a temporary and permanent placement agency working solely with skilled professional workers who have been convicted in the past and are having difficulty obtaining permanent employment. I believe the temporary industry provides a service to their clients but doesn’t look out for the employees best interest by ensuring he/she will not be wasting his/her time on a job that is not going to hire them for a permanent position. Therefore my company will stick behind them assist with the cleaning up of criminal records at a low cost to the client and hold companies accountable if they don’t hire the employee after ninety days. BGR Staffing was created with the desire to contribute to the community and provide a service that would benefit the businesses and the members of the community. BGR realizes the need for the services in the Southern Indiana area; the company will provide a much needed service. BGR will provide quality employment for individuals with infractions on their criminal background. BGR staffing
