In mainstream education teachers could use a variety of strategies to support dyslexic children. For instance, teachers can use multi – sensory teaching to outline what is going to take place in lessons and then go back over what the children have learnt using a number of aids. This can help learners take information from their short-term memory into their long-term memory. Teachers could also make sure that activities taking place during the week are written down somewhere in the classroom. Simultaneously, they should encourage a daily checklist. If possible, teachers should also try to sit dyslexic children close to themselves so that they can maintain good eye contact. On the other hand, they could aid children with digital recorders and use different coloured chalk on the blackboard as well (Davis, 1995).
