I chose to discuss how the functional, conflict theory, and interactionism perspectives have issues in fraternities and sororities. A social group is a gathering of people who associate themselves with one another d have many similarities within characteristics and have a perception of unity. A social category can easily identify with a social group when the participants in the category associate themselves with the group members. However, a social aggregate is a cluster of people who gather at the same place, but they do not share any interests or characteristics that are similar. Structural functionalism determines the way each part of society works together to move forward as a whole. Conflict theory is how inequalities contribute to societies differences. Symbolic interactionism focuses on the relationship between the individuals in the society.
Most of all college students are willing to participate in extracurricular activities. These are some of the most commonly joined activities range from work, volunteering, campus organizations, Greek life, and sports.
