Almost every culture throughout ancient history has had structural similarities in their stories. The three different stories that will be compared are the Book of Job, Oedipus the King, and an Aztec sacrifice story. One story coming from the Middle East, another from South europe and the last from modern day South Africa. All of these stories take place in different parts of the world, but are linked by scapegoating. So, how could these people have similar stories if they never exchange them?
