As people age they begin to everyday activities begin to become harder and harder. This becomes an issue because, “health is the single largest factor determining the trajectory of an adult’s physical or mental status over the years beyond 65” (Bethany). This showcases how truly important health is in the lives of older adults. If they cease to stay physically fit activities such as bathing and putting groceries away become exceedingly difficult. This is a problem considering that many older adults are still living in their own homes; meaning, they do not have people looking after them and helping them all of the time.
