This scholarship is the first step of my journey to give back to my parents who encourage others to grow. The struggles they overcame so my siblings and I could attain a quality education sound nearly impossible. Due to the lack of finances, my parents’ education ended before they could finish primary school. However, this only motivated them in their pursuit to America for a better life for our family. For them, working 72 hours/week has been a norm for almost 20 years.
As a junior in high school, I strive to attain the Summa Cum Laude distinction because I believe it will lead my parents to realize the success of their diligence
