Two characters who portray a positive impression of nursing are Christina Hawthorne (HawthoRNe) and Angela from Undercover Boss. In the television show Hawthorne, main character Christina Hawthorne plays a character who always has her patient's best interest at heart and is a strong patient advocate. As I watched the show, the first thing that stood out to me was how passionate Christina was about her job and the lengths she would go to to advocate for her patients. Those two attributes are important in the healthcare field. Nurses monitor the dosage of medications that are prescribed to patients to make sure that it is a safe dosage and work with case management to assure that the patient has the resources they need to properly care for themselves
