1. What is CIIP?
CIIP as Critical information infrastructure protection, I will elaborate more on how come it is called CIIP by breaking it down. See below.
Infrastructure
Infrastructure is the platform for implementation or the base of the building or the foundation of the building, organisation, systems, and network (Mavee, 2012). We have different definitions of what infrastructure is, but in short it is those things that when it breaks then you will realize it and think of it. For example, in your organisation, that building if there is a bomb threat then they will not allow anyone inside, they will have to evacuate everyone out of the infrastructure. That shows how important your building is [1].

It is that electricity that we use to our business and at our homes. It is our transportation that moves us from point A to B. We currently have a high number of cars coming in to Sandton at the very same time and if nothing is done then Sandton will be a standstill in 2017. This is critical infrastructure that needs an urgent attention [2].

Government and its stakeholders create the security standards, policies and mechanisms by government and stakeholders. We have a Cyber security policy which is still need to be made public. We also have a National Infrastructure plan that will help in transforming and developing our economy [7].
We have National Infrastructure (NI) which is the vital important assets to our society; they deliver services to our daily life, our economy, our health and security. The NI sectors or departments include water, communication, transport, health, food, finance and energy as well as our government. Then companies will need to work together with the government in order to fit in to the National CIIP structure.
