One of the many conflicts in Asylum by Roux is the difficulty of communication. Abby, Dan, and Jordan kept secrets from each other throughout the novel about what they had been experiencing, instead of coming together to discuss the eerie coincidences happening within the asylum. Between the three of them they managed to get themselves into a world of mystery and suspense during their summer. The main miscommunication between the three musketeers of danger was sharing their encounters with the unknown beings that crept their way from the basement of torturous experiments.
