2. Identify effective parent education delivery methods for programs intended to reduce child abuse and neglect.
Parent education programs need to work on their effectiveness so they have a greater impact on the communities that surround them. One way to improve effectiveness is to reach out to every once in a while to members through home or office visits. With or without communication there can be misunderstandings which can be dangerous in a family that is abusive or neglectful that is why it is important to build up communication skills. Positive interaction skills is another one this goes hand in hand with communication. To communicate families need to have positive interactions with one another. During parent education programs educators need to have parents practice with their children or other parents having positive interactions. Sometimes educators might even have to model what a positive interaction looks like. While in the program parents should also learn how to build relationships with their children and learn different child rearing skills that differ depending on how old their child
