The person I'm going to use from chapter 10 is Cecilia Penifader. I think she is very important because she tells her story about the ways that her class, family, and gender effected her life. Cecilia Penifader is a European peasant women born in a small village. Her social status was being a serf, which is unfree people who owed labor service to the lord. Even though she was in that class she was very lucky. She never got married or anything, but she was born seventh out of eight children.
