Both the videos had very interesting ideas, but I do agree that it was hard to bring out a common idea and overlap them together as one. The only common idea, to some extent, was the idea of decision making and irrational choices that people make. In the first video Laurie Santos makes us aware of the probable reasons as to why people make bad decisions. Is it because of poor information, lack of understanding, unwillingness or over-willingness to take a risk, or is it something even more primitive that lurks in our evolutionary background? Santos shows that her research subjects make similar errors to us even though they are not human. Primates seem to understand economics in many of the same ways people do.
