Everyone communicates differently among their peers throughout life. Deborah Tannen gathers information to explain to the readers how males and females communicate. She takes groups of students and sees how they react differently in a classroom setting. Even though women talk more than men, I believe males use language differently than females because they group themselves with other male groups, they defend themselves differently, and males are more talkative.
