John Duffy, a journalist for Inside Higher Ed argues that our society has lost the polite and thoughtful disciplines necessary for engaging in educated discussions. Furthermore, Duffy elaborates that instead of using intelligent methods for presenting an argument, talk show hosts, commentators, and famous icons like Rush Limbaugh are choosing to make profitable careers out of insulting others.
