In the article “Lawmaker’s Childhood Experience Drive New Mexico’s ’Lunch Shaming’ Ban”, it talks about the state senate Michael Padilla and what he had to do to receive lunch at his school. In our class we discussed about the issue having to do with taxes and if it was okay to give our leftovers to the homeless. I for one believed that is was okay to give to the homeless because either way, the food will end up in the trash anyway. In addition, I believe that it is not fair to left the kids go hungry just because they can’t afford to pay for their lunch. As a class we also thought that the firing of the two women was unjustified. The reason for this was due to the fact that they tried to help out the child and acted in a humane way. Moreover,
