Throughout the ordeal Elie and his father help each other to survive by means of mutual support and concern that they will die from their tragic conditions or that they will be shot or killed by the German Soldiers. And he was confused why God didn’t help his father and he thought that it was unfair and that he didn’t deserve to experience his father die. And that night he lost all of his faith and became angry at God. later on in the camp everyone who is still alive and they are saved and the Nazis run away and leave the slaves and they start to leave. Elie survives the camp but at the moment he is in real bad conditions and is going to take a while to get back to his old self but he is just glad to be able to leave the camp. When they were set free on April 11,1945 was the day that the American army liberates the camp and sets all of the slaves
