Summary Of Prospero And The Red Death

Prospero reacts to the plague by escaping to his castle with a thousand of his favorite people. About six months into his stay, Prince Prospero decides to throw an ball in his castle of seven colored rooms. At midnight, the Prince, who was hanging out in the blue room, sees a new face in the crowd.

The new face was somebody dressed up as a victim of the Red Death. Prospero was angry, and ordered the guests to be stopped and umasked. Nobody had the courage to approach the masked man, including Prospero himself. The strange and offensive guest just goes on making his way through the rooms. Prospero finally got up the courage.
