The book Watership Down takes place in between Berkshire and Hampshire England (Central England). The author was not very specific on what time this story happened probably because this story in the rabbits and animals point of view and they have enough things to worry about rather than what time they are in. Most likely the story took place in the time when the book was written. The setting influences what happens in the book because the animals are in the wild where it rains and has sunny days. Changing the setting of a story can change everything. The book would’ve been very different for example if the story took place in the snowy winter or chaotic city because the rabbits wouldn’t meet a buck and the rabbits would face very different
