On April 12, 2016 at approximately 2:45pm, Judge England presided a criminal case for Leroy Whitson, who was charged with 3rd degree domestic violence (reckless endangerment). Whitson had endangered multiple people on a bus driving on the interstate by recklessly driving close to it, swerving close to it to try and get the bus to stop. He performed these irresponsible actions to get the attention of his ex-girlfriend, who had reported him for harassment. The defendant’s attorney tried to excuse Whitson’s actions with emotional instability, appearing to try and gain some sympathy from the jurors.
