Early next morning, after a heavy rainstorm passed through the night before, the boys meet up saying their morning hellos and eagerly making their way down the path. The creek was flowing at a heavy rate due to the rainwater rushing down the massive hillside. The dam that they had built yesterday was completely submerged underneath the water as it had no chance of holding back the flow. The sky still cloudy and glum as gray clouds hang low, giving the water in the creek a dark, murky color compared to yesterday's shimmering characteristics. Standing at the edge of the creek, the boys watch the rain droplets run off the leaves onto the saturated earth as they contemplate on how to cross to the opposite side. “Let's walk down a bit. Its arms outstretched at Brian like it was going to catch him from his slide. In fear, Brian clamps his eyes shut and covers his face with both his arms as he nears the creature. Right at the point where he should have hit the figure, Brian could hear his name being called out to him. It was subtle and it seemed to call out to him from inside his mind.
