Tom Walker’s wife ran off to find the devil in order to bargain with the riches she wanted. She headed off to the swamp as her husband had told her with all of the valuables in the house with her on her expedition to sell her soul to the devil. Tom Walker’s wife was a fearless being through every argument she had. On her way to talk to the devil she was slowly losing her confidence with every step she took.
The thick swamp was hard to walk trek through. The devil was where he was just as Tom Walker told her. The devil was in the ruins of an old forte and seemed to be carving another name into a tree. “ What are you doing on this land,” the devil said. “ I would like to take the same deal you gave to my husband,” the wife bravely told the devil.
