This past week an FBI agent involved with the trial of famed Boston Mafia boss Whitey Bulger pleaded guilty to lying during his testimony in the trial. During the decade of the 80s James “Whitey” Bulger was a notorious Mafia boss in Boston and it is believed he is responsible for committing numerous murders, eleven of which he was put on trial for and convicted of in 2013. Robert Fitzpatrick was at the time of Bulger’s trial, the Assistant Special Agent in charge of the Organized Crime program the FBI had for Boston (FBI Agent admits he lied in Whitey Bulger Testimony. Fitzpatrick stated that he had tried to sever ties with Bulger, who was acting as an FBI informant, but it has now come to light that he never made any attempts
