Cooney was removed from the curriculum for Flour Bluff Independent School District in Texas in 2003 for a faint reference to the idea of sex and to challenge to authority. I do not think that The Face on the Milk Carton should be banned. The books does not contain enough sexual content where it makes it dangerous for kids to read.
