The war to end homelessness seems to not have an end, although there are so many great organizations along with communities working tirelessly to end homelessness. At this moment in time, there is no doubt that countless communities are trying to end chronic homelessness. A chronically homeless individual is someone with a disability who lives in a place not meant for human habitation. Multiple communities are creating great programs to reduce the number of homeless individuals. Also, many of those communities are experimenting their plans with veterans, while also seeking new plans for those other remaining homeless individuals. Several communities attempt to save the states hundreds of thousands of dollars that might have to be utilized on providing them with medical attention and a public defender when problems with law enforcement start to arise. If all the homeless received some form of help, the government could save a really high number of tax dollars that can be utilized on finer programs, a big one being education, which is one of the systems that the public argues the most on not being fairly funded by the government. In schools, they ask students to bring in canned goods, clothes, or simply money donations to keep the organization running, it works the same way in store businesses. Overall, the Salvation Army has constructed a high number of facilities nationwide that provide housing with homeless services.
