In “Survive the Savage Sea” Douglas Robertson said a phrase. It goes “the predatory emotions that are brought to the fore to make life possible in this primitive style are not compatible with emotional beauty and emotional finesse.” Douglas was basically saying man can make a good relationship with the sea as man could with land.
