As a woman in the late 18th century, imagine the sense of no privilege and liberty, and instead trying to fight for emancipation of these unjust laws; this is what many women had to do in the last centuries. In Susan B, Anthony’s “Is it a Crime for a Citizen of the United States to Vote?” and Emmeline Pankhurst’s “Freedom or Death”, they both focus on the unjustified acts of gender inequality in that time frame. Though both talk about the idea of women, how do each attempt to make the claim that women should have the right to vote?

Well, as seen in the speech by Anthony, she unravels the unjust actions in society on women by providing numerous counts of evidence, these pieces can be “Our....government is based on the idea of the natural right of every individual member...” and “...the organic laws... all alike propose to protect its people”. The evidence primarily portrays the ideas on how hypocritical and unjust these laws are from how only one gender gets power. What's stated can be put in consideration to help understand how biased the laws of America are and that even as a human being, women get treated as to no avail.
