SUMMARY OF SUSANS STORY
Susan Pedrick has experienced a lot of tough and trying times in her life. With many of the traumatic events that she went through, it makes sense that she suffered deeply and immensely. Susan had a very difficult childhood that still effects her to this day. As Susan was growing up, she learned that she didn't feel like a woman. She had a deep masculine voice. The only thing that assured her that she was in fact a women, was that she had breasts. She experienced many problems with women, including being one. As Susan progressed many years, she finally found a psychologist that made a huge impact on her life. She was beginning to feel like a normal person again.

Self harm was something no one could argue with her about. Susan cut deeply into her shoulders and watched the blood flow down her arms. She finally felt that people would realize that she had a problem. This made everything real. It wasn't just in her head, as her family could see the pain she inflicted upon herself. It was real. Self harm made her mental illness real.
CLINICAL LABELS MENTIONED(IF ANY)
I do not recall Susan receiving a clinical label other than basic depression. I personally believe, that she may have also suffered from post traumatic stress disorder due to her horrific childhood. I was really hoping to find out what Susan suffered from. It was never made clear throughout the movie. Her illness may have been too complex to give a specific clinical label.
HELPFUL AND HEALING EXPIERENCES
I believe that Susan's healing did not start until she met Chim Chaung Widdiger. Chim Chaung confronted and challenged Susan, which is what she needed. Her psychologist was able to help her mind work like a conversation between the two of them. Chim Chaung was inserted into Susan's mind. During her visits, she began to learn how to talk about life when something is wrong. She was no longer holding much emotion and pain inside of herself. Susan did what made her feel good, she was now focusing on herself. Susan wanted to
