Myron Levoy’s story, “Aaron’s Gift” has some very special symbolism. And by symbolism, there are so many unique and wonderful objects that mean more to the characters than others. For example, Aaron’s grandmother had a very special pet goat, when she was younger. Soon Cossacks came to massacre the village, killing her goat. This puts his grandmother with sorrowful memories of losing a beloved pet. As the storyline goes on, Aaron finds himself loving a wounded pigeon he is taking care of.
