Tablets can hold a lot of storage and information compared to traditional books. “On the Amazon Kindle Fire, for instance, 1,000 books take up one GB of space” (“Should”). The amount of books that are stored in the tablets take up less space and cost a lot less than buying printed versions of books. According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), “k-12 school districts spend more than $8 billion per year on textbooks” (“Should”). For example, buying E-textbooks can save schools between $250-$1,000 for each student in a school year (“Should”). Take my friend Chaella for example, she cannot type her reports at home because she does not have access to a computer. Chaella sometimes does not get her reports typed, if schools provided us with the ability to have a tablet or laptop to use it would be so much easier on her. Also, my school provides me with office 365 so I can type my reports online anywhere I go. Only if Chaella could get access to a laptop or tablet to she would be able to do her work. Lastly, tablets on average cost $489-263 in the coming years(“Should”). Looking at this as a student’s view this would be so much more effective in the work they do and provide to their
