Tante Rose is a tall, thin woman with thick black hair stopping at the back of her neck and is a single ex-concert pianist. She happens to be Hannah’s only aunt from her mother’s side and is younger than Hannah’s father but is older than her mother. She has an irrational fear about her niece ruining her future due to a biking accident that ruined her own. It left her slender fingers curling in toward themselves and her knuckles swollen preventing her from playing the one instrument she excelled at. However, it did not stop her from tutoring Hannah on how to play the piano. Despite living a private life, Tante Rose joined her sister’s family for the Jewish holidays and even took Hannah in to live with her going as far as to buying any dresses
