McBride states that people commit suicide because of mental illnesses, not cause by bullying. Also, that there is no scientific evidence to prove the fact that bulling does lead to suicide. The article is targeted at a teen/adult audience – people who are curious about the topic. Because the article is informational, rationalized, easy to connect, credible, and incudes a combination of ethos, logos, and pathos it helps support its claim. The author uses a wide vocabulary and meaningful words to connect to the reader and make the claim very clear. While McBride does not have a personal background in the topic, she presents an informative view on the topic. Also, because the article was published in Opposing Viewpoints in Context it proves that it is a credible source. The tone of the source is informative but the author has a snappy/sarcastic tone to support his claim. Also because the article was published in 2016 it is a very relevant source. Compared to other sources on the topic, this article does a good job supporting the opposite side of things (the con side). It is very important to note that this source was published in 2014 making the information recent. Compared to other sources on the topic, this one does a good job at presenting difficult information in an easy way to comprehend.
