Yesterday morning, Karl Pierson walked into his high school and gunned down a fellow classmate. Unfortunately, it seems that the news has recently been filled with similar occurrences. Murder is horrific, no matter who the suspect is, but when the suspect is someone so young, it can be disheartening. Incidents of teen violence seem to be rocketing and this recent rise raises one very important question: Why?
There are several theories as to why teens resort to violence. It may be because they are modelling their behavior according to what they see, whether it be at home, in the media, in video games or on the street.
