Some parents can put full trust in their children, but you also have to be strict. In “Teenage Wasteland” by Anne Tyler the mother’s son Donny was failing his classes so she hires Cal, a tutor. This story questions a mother trust of her son’s responsibility. The Mother should be stricter to her son to succeed in his education. The mom should be stricter to her son about his education. She shouldn’t not put her responsibility into someone else. This happens when one of his teachers call and she says, “Oh, I’m sorry, Miss Evans, but Donny’s tutor handles these things now…,” (pg. 1305). She puts her duties as a mother
