Medex operates as a medical billing company. Due to high turnover, the company is trying to find ways to lower turnover and increase retention. In order to determine where the major area of concern a survey was done. This survey asked about benefits, salary, work environment. The feedback from the survey helped pinpoint to the working conditions. Several employees stated within the survey that commuting was a major issue due to high traffic, inability to balance work and family, and extremely high cost for parking in the downtown metropolitan area. Thoroughly studying this case, the proper recommendations will be shown throughout this paper.

Telecommuting has giving companies major cost advantages in savings when taking on this route. With Medex employees having a high cost for parking within the downtown area, this gives employees more ability to save money by not having to spend on gas due to heavy traffic, not having to deal with high parking fees or even possible parking citations. On a March 2016 survey telecommuters would also see a $2,000 to $7,000 cost in savings annually. Employers would see a cost saving of $11,000 per employee.
