But this abandoned child still had a mother, a loyal wife to Odysseus, Penelope was her name. Then the name of the child was Telemachus, who lived a life of hope, the hope that his father would come back home to Ithaca. As his father was out exploring the seas, Telemachus stayed behind, maturing and living a life without a father figure, unaware of the suitors who were lurking. A few years went by without his father, so Telemachus took charge of his estate and understood more about the suitor's goals. Even though he's not sure if he's alive or not, it's time to find out. So as he gets ready to look for his Dad, a well-known Greek god accompanies him, that god being Athena. Athena gets them to disguise as a mentor before heading to Pylos to begin the search for Odysseus. As the search for the Odyssey continues, Athena and Telemachus finally arrive at Pylos and find someone named Nestor. Nestor is not just some random guy from Pylos, he is an ancient Greek king whom they go to, to seek for Odysseus. Former King Nestor does not have any information about Oysseue's whereabouts or if he is alive or not. But he does inform them that his ship has been lost to a giant storm after the war, leading Athena and Telemachus to a dead end. So now they must begin their journey onwards, into the depths of Sparta. Then they re-aboard the boat, preparing for another stop, this time they were going to Sparta, in the hope of finding Odysseus.
