A typical Australian accent was gathered after the publishing of the film. The act of shortening the word 'dreamin' also suggests how Aussies apparently don't complete their words or sentences. Darryl Kerrigan (the dad of the Kerrigan family) was a great representation of the typical Australian dad. His excessive use of slang and accent displayed the perfect Aussie. The Castle's age cannot correctly express Australians slang now. The film has created a stereotype of all Australians, that Aussies are old and of low class.
